About

Hi all,

I finally started my own blog, so here it is.

My name is Liron Amitzi, I’m originally from Israel (currently live in Vancouver, BC, Canada) and I have been an Oracle DBA since 1998. Since 2002 I have been working as a database consultant, then managed a database consultants team and now VP Professional Service at Brillix, an Israeli database consulting company.

During these years I worked with many companies and in many areas. I mostly like performance tuning (infrastructure and SQL) and the more complex infrastructure issues (RAC, DataGuard, etc.).

I have been an Oracle ACE since 2009, ilOUG (Israel Oracle User Group) management member since 2011, and OCP since 2015.

On the personal side, I love to travel around the world with my family (wife and 2 small kids), and I’m an amateur photographer.

In this blog, I plan to write about Oracle stuff ranging from full articles through short posts on various topics and up to one-liners on interesting things I’ve found out.

I hope you’ll find this interesting and useful, and I’ll be happy to hear any comment, recommendations and basically everything you would like to say to me. If you want to follow me on twitter, my handle is @amitzil.

Cheers,

Liron
