I finally started my own blog, so here it is.
My name is Liron Amitzi, I’m originally from Israel (currently live in Vancouver, BC, Canada) and I have been an Oracle DBA since 1998. Since 2002 I have been working as a database consultant, and managed database consulting teams (while still consult myself quite a lot).
During these years I worked with many companies and in many areas. I mostly like performance tuning (infrastructure and SQL) and the more complex infrastructure issues (RAC, DataGuard, etc.).
I have been an Oracle ACE since 2009, an OCP since 2015, ilOUG (Israel Oracle User Group) management member in 2011-2015, and board member of BCOUG (British Columbia Oracle User Group) since 2016.
On the personal side, I love travelling around the world with my family (wife and 2 small kids), and I’m an amateur photographer.
In this blog, I write about Oracle stuff ranging from full articles through short posts on various topics and up to one-liners on interesting things I’ve found out.
I hope you’ll find this interesting and useful, and I’ll be happy to hear any comment, recommendations and basically everything you would like to say to me. If you want to follow me on twitter, my handle is @amitzil.
